Black Friday is the biggest shopping day for people all across the country. The day after Thanksgiving instead of sleeping in thousands of people are standing in line outside their nearest malls, retail stores, and Wal-Marts in the hopes to get the electronics, toys, and clothes at incredible prices. This day was marred at the Valley Stream Wal-Mart after the chaos of people killed on of the employees.
The throngs of people that arrived on Black Friday barged their way in that morning by pushing past the barriers that Wal-Mart had put up to control them. They managed to knock the barriers down and unhinge the doors. 34 year old Jdimytai Damour was one of the employees in charge of letting the people in and was stampeded to death.
Police and shoppers are admonishing Wal-Mart for not having more security. But Wal-Mart said that they had more people on duty and had taken the right precautions. Police are still waiting on an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
