The Inaugural celebration is over and now President Barack Obama is ready to start his new job. This job will be the biggest opportunity that he has ever had in his life and the most important job for anyone. We all know that no matter who you work for or what you do the first day is the hardest and the busiest.
Obama learned this as he met with the economic advisers and his top military officials for the first time inside of the Oval Office. Already the meetings have begun to jumpstart things in motion for the change that he has been promising the American people.
According to a poll performed by the Associated Press survey showed that 3-1 Americans are optimistic that Obama will improve the outlook of the country and fix the economic problems. 30% of these people were Republicans.
“Tonight, we celebrate. Tomorrow, the work begins,” Obama said Tuesday night during the Commander in Chief Ball. He held true to this promise this morning and started off with his number one goal – to fix the economy.
“Fortunately, we’ve seen Congress immediately start working on the economic recovery package, getting that passed and putting people back to work,” Obama said in an ABC News interview. “That’s going to be the thing we’ll be most focused on.”
