Ian Usher Sells Everything He Owns For Fresh Start
44 year old – Ian Usher has a custom built house, a Mazda, jet-skis, motorbike, and a great job. So why is he willing to give it all up? Usher is divorced and being alone is harder than having everything you want in life. He is trying to start his life fresh by selling everything he owns and even his job on eBay for whoever wants it.
Usher says he has led ‘a dream life’ after emigrating to Perth, Australia, six years ago but wants to make a clean break after splitting with The 44-year-old, who is originally from Darlington, added: ‘Despite my life being busy and fulfilled, I still miss her so much. Everything around me is a reminder of the wonderful past we shared.’
The auction starts at one Australian dollar (46p) and the winning bidder is expected to pay at least £230,000 to live Mr Usher’s lifestyle to the full. The successful bidder will even be given a fortnight’s trial with Mr Usher’s employer, who owns a rug store in Perth.
‘My aim is to walk away at the end of the eBay auction with my wallet in one pocket, my passport in the other and go to the airport and jump on the first plane,’ he said. The bidding opens on June 22.
