Grandma Teaches Comcast A Thing Or Two

Don’t you just get tired of all the problems that your cable company drops on you bringing upon you no end of frustration? When in doubt just take this woman’s advice and show those people exactly what you’re made of.

A 75-year-old woman who took a hammer to her local Comcast office and began smashing equipment before she was arrested says she stands by her actions. Mona Shaw was so upset after trying unsuccessfully for a week in August to get Comcast to activate their Triple Play phone, Internet and cable service that she and her husband went to the Manassas office.

Shaw then took a hammer to a computer monitor, keyboard and phone. She says after getting many calls from other people complaining about similar problems, she doesn’t regret what she did.

But she doesn’t agree with those people who call her a hero. Shaw says she was just an old lady who got mad and threw a hissy fit. She was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. She paid a $345 fine and is barred from going near that Comcast office for a year.

Comcast disputes Shaw’s version of its customer service record and calls Shaw’s hammer fit an “inappropriate situation.” Maybe next time they could give her proper customer service and take care of all their customers’ problems.
