Thousands of people are waiting patiently for their stimulus checks to arrive in the mail or into their bank accounts – but it seems that they are taking more time than what people had hoped. Then there are others who are getting more money than they thought.

One citizen said that the minute she got her $600 check she deposited it into her bank account. Not long after another $600 check arrived in the mail marked as yet another stimulus payment.

Police Shoot Man After Beating Baby To Death

A man was shot by a police officer after he beat, punched, and stomped on a small child and killed it while in the middle of a dark country road over the weekend. Witnesses called the police after they saw the man park his Toyota truck in the middle of Bradbury Road. The 27 year old man then took the 12-24 month baby boy out of the car and beat him.

Eileen Shields is a city worker who usually spends her workdays answering questions from people who want to know about health concerns – but next week it is expected that she and other volunteers will be receiving hundreds of questions from same-sex couples who are wanting to tie the knot.

Tim Russert Dies From Heart Attack

Tim Russert shocked the nation today when he collapsed at the NBC News studio in Washington, D.C. Not even his doctor expected him to die so suddenly and without any warning to anyone. Dr. Michael Newman – said that he had seen his patient the morning he died and said that he was able to work out on the treadmill with no problems. He had also taken a stress test on April 29th and seemed to be in fine health.

Girl Gets Struck By Lightning Then Wins Lottery

16 year old BreAnna Helsel from Michigan thought she was down on her luck after she was struck by lightning. Yet, it seemed to have improved her luck. The next day she won a $20 in the lottery.

Her mother said that the day she was struck by lightning there was a storm outside her house. She saw rain coming through the open kitchen window and went to close it when it hit her.

Leader Of Hooker Ring Doesn’t Open Up About Spitzer

The leader of the hooker ring that had taken down Eliot Spitzer has pleaded guilty to money laundering and prostitution this week. However, he will not be saying anything against the former governor.

Mark Brener made a plea – but it did not require him to cooperate with any of the pending grand jury probes. He is now facing 24 to 30 months in prison. His sentencing is on September 16th. “My client was not involved in any way in that investigation, nor was he asked to participate,” lawyer Murray Richman said.

Picassos Stolen From Brazilian Museum

Two Picasso paintings were stolen as well as two works by certain Brazilian artists out of the Sao Paulo’s Pinacoteca Museum this week. This is the second major art theft in this particular city in six months.

Officials said that they three thieves entered the museum in the daytime and threatened the security gaurds. They made off with the Spanish artist’s 1963 print “The Painter and the Model” and “Minotaur, Drinker and Women” from 1933, the state culture secretariat said.

Follower Of Charles Manson To Be Released

Susan Atkins is a follower of Charles Manson who has been serving a life sentence in prison. However, she may soon be released from prison because she is close to dying from an unknown illness.

Atkins is 59 and is suffering from an undisclosed illness which she has only six months to live. An official from the California prison released the information and stated that she has been in prison for close to 37 years in the California Institution for Women located in Corona.

Thieves Steal $2 Mil In Jewels And Super Bowl Rings

Some thieves broke into a jewelry company during the weekend and stole $2 million in gems, gold, and Super Bowl rings that were made for staff members for the New York Giants. The thieves were able to disable the alarm at E. A. Dion Inc. and managed to cut a hole into the roof. That stole the safe 0 which weighed 1,000 pounds.

Alliance Between Pakistan And U.S. Damaged By Airstrike

The Pakistani army has accused the U.S. military of an airstrike that they have described as unprovoked and cowardly”. The airstrike killed 11 Pakistani infantrymen and has now threatened relations between the two countries and the ability for them to work against terrorism.

A senior official acting as an intermediary between the two countries said there was a flurry of high-level phone calls and meetings Wednesday attempting to defuse the incident. Top Pakistani officials were so irate that they summoned U.S. Ambassador Anne W. Patterson to the Foreign Ministry to complain, the official said.
