Hugging Will Send You To The Principal’s Office

Some schools are looked down upon for not having enough rules and for having unruly students. It is a rare occasion that we see a school being strict and a little too strict at that. It seems that Fairfax County middle school is trying its best to cut back on violence at school. That is why students can be sent to the principal’s office for hugging, holding hands, and even giving someone a high-five.

9 Firefighters Killed In Fire In South Carolina

More than a dozen firefighters rushed into a burning building to save the employees that were trapped inside. Going in they beleived that the flames were small enough to keep under control. But they underestimated the situation. Within moments of entering the building the flames spread across the warehouse, causing the roof to collapse. Nine brave firefighters were killed in the fire. This is a loss that has not been seen since 9/11.

G-8 Offers Aid To Africa

Germany, the United States, Russia, Britain, Italy, France, Canada and Japan, the leaders of the Group of Eight have agreed to give Africa a $60 billion package to fight AIDS, TB and malaria. The G-8 also stated that they would “adopt further measures” if Iran refuses to halt its uranium enrichment program, a process that can produce fuel for civilian energy, or fissile material for a bomb. The U.N. Security Council is preparing to discuss a third set of sanctions.
